The founders Pedro and Fábio met during college in 2014 and since then have been creating games together along with many co-workers throughout the years. In 2017, they started their final college project that would become Spacelines from the Far Out, which gave them opportunities that would lead to the Coffeenauts foundation in 2018.

From 2018 to the present days, Coffeenauts attended to many indie game festivals and events, such as the Global Top Round in Kuala Lumpur, receiving multiple nominations, and 3 important awards from Game Connection America and BIG Festival, both in 2019.

For 2020, the company closes publishing deal with Skystone Games, headed by game industry veterans Bill Wang and David Brevik.
